The Official Song of the 2014 FIFA World Cup "We Are One (Ole Ola) is finally out! The video was released on Friday May 16 with over 15 million YouTube views over the weekend. Claudia Leitte, Pitbull, and Jennifer Lopez

Critics and fans have voiced their opinion comparing it to Shakira's "Waka Waka" 2010 World Cup anthem. Some say the song is missing the African tunes and Brazilian flavor that its supposed to represent. Many dislike the fact that the song is in English and Spanish when Brazil has a population of 200 million. The song is supposed to send a positive message that "WE ARE ONE" but to many individuals in Brazil the song represents generic foreign rhythms and stereotypes. The video features Carnival, samba dancers, half-naked people, and children representing poverty. Critics object to this stereotype of Brazilian culture and what others will perceive Brazil to be. The song has Caribbean beat but not a Brazilian beat like its supposed to have or be represented by a Brazilian artist. Claudia Leitte who is featured in the song only has 14 seconds towards the end and this was also criticized. There will always be criticism whether its positive or negative. I think the song is great because it represents flags, unity, different nationalities and the beat is awesome. However, this is coming from me who lives in the United States and therefore I am an American. You be the judge. What do you think?
